Stuart Law’s housing finance practice has led it into the modern world of mixed-use properties involve both residential and commercial leasing components.  Our business clients have also ventured into building, acquiring and renovating of commercial properties.  As a result, Stuart Law has built and maintains expertise in most forms of commercial real estate ventures, including raw land purchases, land use approvals, planned unit developments and construction, and leasing and operation of the final product.

Our sports law practice has its roots in the representation of many recognizable individual athletes, coaches and sports organizations.  Today, many of these former athletes and coaches run successful businesses that use the services of Stuart Law.  The Firm’s work with the Olympic movement and the organizers of major sporting events such as the U.S. Olympic Festival, Special Olympics World Games and the Research Triangle area bid to host the Pan American Games has put Stuart Law at the forefront of sports-related practice areas by providing services to the organizers of major events, assisting with the creation of successful sports organizations, and working with the community to attract organizations like USA Baseball to the Triangle area.

In today’s world, the representation of significant business clients invariably leads a law firm into dealing with the bankruptcy, insolvency and financial distress of others doing business with our clients.  Stuart Law ardently pursues its clients’ interests in collecting sums due through both the collection of commercial debts and pursuing recoveries in bankruptcy.  Stuart Law annually collects substantial delinquent insurance premiums owed to its insurance company clients and pursues bankruptcy recoveries in various states against insolvent companies that self-insure their workers’ compensation liabilities in North Carolina.
