Stuart Law has successfully organized several North Carolina property and casualty insurers and actively represents other companies seeking initial organization in North Carolina or admission as an out-of-state insurer. Stuart Law also has successfully represented North Carolina insurers seeking admission in the states of Tennessee, South Carolina, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Our work with insurance regulators has included the full spectrum of regulatory issues, from actuary loss projections and new business projections to rate and compliance issues.
Stuart Law has over 15 years of experience in defending North Carolina workers’ compensation insurance claims. Our attorneys appear frequently before the North Carolina Industrial Commission and approach claims work with the goal of ending the client’s financial exposure for the claim as quickly and as cost-effectively as possible.
As a result of our representation of insurers and policyholders in the construction industry, Stuart Law has defended a variety of construction defects and products liability cases, including Chinese drywall, plumbing installation and mold cases.
