Chip has significant appellate advocacy experience before the N.C. Court of Appeals and N.C. Supreme Court.  Some of his reported cases include:

  • Goodson v. P.H. Glatfelter Co., 171 N.C. App. 596, 615 S.E.2d 350, disc. rev. denied, 360 N.C. 63, 623 S.E.2d 582 (2005).  NOTE: This case was selected as one of the 50 Most Important Decisions of 2005 by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly (Jan. 2, 2006).
  • Bowles v. BCJ Trucking Services, Inc., 172 N.C. App. 149, 615 S.E.2d 724, disc. rev. denied, 360 N.C. 60, 623 S.E.2d 579 (2005).

Chip also has significant experience practicing before all levels of the North Carolina Industrial Commission, as well as in the North Carolina trial courts, and he continues to practice frequently before these bodies.

He was selected as a national member of The Order of Barristers, and has been recognized with an “AV Preeminent” peer review rating on Martindale-Hubbell™.
